Sean's First Birthday

Sean's first birthday fell on a Wednesday. We held a small party that evening after his cousins and Beaulah's children got out of school. We were also joined by my friend Gretchen and her daughter Amara.

Sean has learned a few tricks since Christmas. He at least tries to get the card and tear the wrapping paper. The other children gathered 'round to help.

Sean was definitely interested in the gift-opening process. He especially enjoys gifts that play music or that he can chew on.

Amara thinks back to her birthday a few months ago. Momma made a chocolate roll cake. Daddy attempts to feed some to the birthday boy. Sean is not too interested in this idea. Oh well, more cake for Daddy!
